PRAYER AND INTERCESSION
Prayer is the most important aspect of any congregation. Deo Church would love to see each believer pray individually as well as get involved in prayer meetings where we pray for our congregation, leaders, our city and country as well as other nations.
Apart from each ministry team’s own prayer time, we have these prayer meetings:
Wednesdays – Men – 05:30 to 06:00
Every Sunday, before our morning meetings from 07:30 to 08:30, and 10:00 to 10:30 in the Intercession Hall.
We also have the opportunity for prayer at various DeoCircle meetings during the week.

Music
God the Father wants His people to Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. At Deo Church, we place a high value on worship and we are continually developing this ministry, so that everybody in the Deo Family may encounter a deeper life of worshipping God with hearts surrendered unto Him.

MEDIA
We live in an era of Audio and Visual technology, media and graphics. This has become a powerful means of communication in the whole world and we understand that the world can undoubtedly be impacted and flooded with the message of the Gospel, by effectively applying the media.
At Deo Church, we are continuously developing this to impact people and reach more people for Jesus Christ. You should consider serving the Body of Christ voluntarily, by helping with sound, video and IT hardware, photography, video recording, video editing, sound mixing, advertising, web and graphic design.

HOSPITALITY
One of our primary values is to be kind, and friendly and make people feel at home. We believe every person should feel welcome with the Deo Church Family.
By serving in one of our hospitality ministries, people make a big difference in the lives of others. We have an opportunity for you to serve the Body of Christ by helping in the coffee shop, greeting in the foyers, ushering or serving at the counter, as well as many other places.

Ministry of Help
People often think that they have to be highly skilled to serve in the Body of Christ. This is a great myth because the greatest Leader that ever lived was Jesus Himself. Jesus was primarily a SERVANT. He even served His disciples in different ways. Every believer has to.
Without any special skills, every believer can serve the Body of Christ at Deo Church. You can be an assistant at our kids ministry, coffee shop, special events, funerals, communion, Sunday meetings and many other places. Or even just join hands with Deo Church by praying with us regularly.
Please speak to one of our Ministry Leaders to find a place where you can serve!
Next Gen Ministries
You also have the opportunity to get involved and serve one of our ministries for kids and teens. We have space at DeoKidz, SHIFT Youth and our Young Adults.
These are speciality ministries and Deo Church ensures the teams are trained and ready. We also need assistants and chaperones to help with organising, prepping lessons, admin, purchases, ect.

Facilitator Training
At Deo Church, we value every DeoCircle Facilitator. We have a special training program for our Facilitators, where we equip and empower them so they can facilitate their Connect Groups with confidence and excellence.
Please pray about, and consider becoming a DeoCircle facilitator at Deo Church. If you are interested, you can contact the Church Office for further guidance.
DeoCircle Facilitator
Deo Church’s vision is 100 DeoCircles in Newcastle. Yes, that’s right! The church functions at its best when we ‘are the church’, and an effective church is the one that moves amongst the people of its city. The power of an effective DeoCircle is HUGE!
It’s really easy to be a DeoCircle facilitator. We use the term ‘facilitator’ because that’s what we’d be expecting from you – to facilitate. We’re constantly working on our DeoCircle model to make it easier for groups to get started. The group leader facilitates the gathering, and in so doing, grows with the group.
Please consider the facilitator training and help us to reach our dream of 100 DeoCircles in our city!
